UPDATE: The Tacony-Palmyra Bridge has reopened

The bridge had been closed in both directions this morning after its drawbridge became stuck overnight.

Crews worked throughout the morning to shut the drawbridge after it got stuck in the upright position after letting a boat pass underneath sometime overnight.

Motorists were advised to use the Betsy Ross Bridge and other alternate routes until the bridge is fixed.

The bridge connects Tacony in Pennsylvania and Palmyra in New Jersey, with Route 73 running on each side.
