Wells Fargo Center to begin allowing fans for Sixers, Flyers games Sunday

Wells Fargo Center, home of the 76ers and Flyers, announced Tuesday that it will allow fans back into the building beginning on Sunday after Gov. Tom Wolf announced a raise in occupancy limits.

Indoor occupancy will be 15% of maximum capacity, regardless of venue size, while outdoor venues can host up to 20% of their maximum capacity.

“We’ve been working around the clock to ensure that we can safely welcome Flyers and 76ers fans back to Wells Fargo Center, and we’re thrilled to open our doors to Philly sports fans once again,” Valerie Camillo, president of business operations for the Flyers, said. “This is a big deal for our building and our teams, but it’s also an important step for our local economy. Every time the Flyers and 76ers play at home, we’ll have hundreds of part-time employees back on the job and dozens of local businesses will benefit, too, so this is a win for our entire city.

“We’re incredibly proud of the extensive health and safety measures we’ve put in place to make this possible, and in the weeks and months ahead, we’re committed to always putting safety first.”

The Flyers will be the first Wells Fargo Center tenant to have a game with fans when they host the Washington Capitals on Sunday night.

“We are thrilled to finally welcome home the best fans in the world,” Sixers president of business operations, Chris Heck, said in a statement. “Our team feeds off of our fans’ incredible energy, so it’s no coincidence the 76ers have been the best home team in the NBA over the last several years.

“Over the past 12 months, we’ve learned many new ways to stay connected with our fans, but there’s no replacing their physical presence. We are all looking forward to the return of 76ers fans to the building as we continue our quest toward an NBA title.”

Approximately 3,100 fans will be allowed into the arena where ‘Inside Edge’ season ticket members will get the first crack at tickets.

All fans must complete a health assessment questionnaire before getting to their seats and will be required to wear a mask at all times. Social-distancing policies must be strictly adhered to as well.

Also on Tuesday, the Phillies announced that they would allow approximately 8,800 fans into Citizens Bank Park for the 2021 season, which begins on April 1.

Season-ticket holders will also get the first chance at getting tickets for the first 19 home games of the season, which will go on sale March 12.
