A Pennsylvania woman was rescued from a tree at a New Jersey religious retreatafter she climbed it to escape a coyote, NJ.com reports. RELATED:NewJerseyGov. She stayed there for five hours until another camper who had gone outside to smoke heard her cries for help.

NJ.com reports that Lewis tore one of her pant legs off and used it to tie herself to the tree, after she became too tired to climb down.
