Woman’s body found in Philly house fire, death declared homicide

The death of a woman whose body was found in a Philadelphia home after a fire is being investigated as a homicide, NBC10 reported.
Firefighters were called to a house fire on the 1900 block of W. Bristol Street around 7 p.m. Friday in Philly’s Tioga-Nicetown section. After the fire was put out, investigators found the unidentified woman’s body in the basement.
According to 6ABC, investigators declared the woman’s death a homicide because of a large head wound and blood found on a wall behind her.
The woman has not been identified by police, and her death is currently under investigation.
