Alycia Lane-Larry Mendte Civil Suit to Be Heard in Philly

The juicy, ongoing civil suit involving former CBS3 co-anchors Alycia Lane and Larry Mendte will be settled in a Philadelphia courtroom, the state Supreme Court ruled.

Lane and her attorney Paul Rosen, who filed the suit against Mendte and CBS in 2008, had argued for the case to tried here, while CBS claimed there was a clause in Lane’s contract requiring the case be heard in New York, according to the Daily News.

Of course, Lane and Mendte made headlines a few years ago when Mendte was charged by federal authorities with snooping on his young, attractive co-worker. Lane claims in the suit that Mendte hacked into her emails and released information and photos to the press. The litigation also claims Lane told CBS about the problem and that they failed to investigate.

Mendte pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to house arrest, which he has completed. He claims the e-mail invasion was began as a result of some flirtatious, romantic thing the two had going on, but Lane denies any off-camera chemistry.

Both were fired from the station – Mendte for the illegal activity and Lane for allegedly slapping a female New York cop – but should be slinging mud at each other in the near future.
