Police Investigate Fatal Bridesburg Accident

Authorities are investigating a fatal crash in Bridesburg early this morning.

A man, 34, was driving a 2006 Chevy Impala southbound on Tacony Streets shortly before 3:20 a.m. when he lost control of the car, spun out, slammed into a wall and struck a pole on the passenger side.

The Impala’s passenger, 44, was taken to Hahemann University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:55 a.m.

The driver was uninjured. It is unclear why he lost control of the car.

The accident is currently under investigation.
