Sixers trade Nerlens Noel to Mavericks, sources say

In a shocking blockbuster trade announced by NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the Sixers are sending Nerlens Noel to Dallas in exchange for Justin Anderson and a first round pick.

The deal also is rumored to include Andrew Bogut, Marc Stein added.

The draft pick is a protected first rounder picks 1-18 and due to the Mavs’ lackluster season the pick will not transfer in 2017.

Anderson is a shooting guard who has a decent upside. Bogut’s acquisition is likely a salary dump to help Philly get above the salary floor.

Noel has been a defensive force in Philly and was a coveted piece on the trade market. The return, a pretty bad draft pick and players who are really unusable, is peculiar.

It appears Philly is going all-in on Joel Embiid. With a few hours left until the trade deadline, Jahlil Okafor could still be next.
