After a pandemic break, one of Philadelphia’s region’s largest and most notable walks to fight breast cancer returned in person and for the first time ever, moved to a new location at Parx Casino in Bensalem.
Susan G. Komen’s More Than Pink Walk was held on Sunday and despite the rain, approximately 2,000 people participated. Proceeds from the walk help fund groundbreaking research and provide support to people facing breast cancer.
“Thank you to all participants! We are closing in on $400,000 raised,” said Suzanne Corson, State Executive Director in NJ, PA, WV & DE. “Fundraising ends June 5 — there’s still time to contribute on our website.”
