Two given life for double murder

Two men convicted of first-degree murder in connection with the 2007 killings of a Tacony man and his 15-year-old friend were spared the death penalty when the jury deadlocked on Thursday.

Gerald Drummond, 26, and Robert McDowell, 28, will serve life without parole for killing Damien Holloway and Timmy Clark in the 6900 block of Vandike Street, allegedly because of a grudge fueled by race. The killers are white, and Holloway was black.
