Now through Jan. 20, Philadelphians can check out everything Vinter Wonderland at Renault Winery has to offer.
Located a short drive away from the city (Egg Harbor Township to be exact), the South Jersey winery has been transformed into “a scene from a Hallmark movie” with the entire estate decked out for the holiday season.
New for 2024, the seasonal experience has added the Vinter Express Barrel Train experience, the “Grinch’s Lair” pop-up bar, a photo-ready space in Santa’s Workshop, a new lounge/wine bar, and a sweet shop serving up different treats like a ginormous hot chocolate. Returning fan-favorites include the ice rink, Vinter Village with a variety of vendors, family-friendly activities (like face painting and crafts), and the Renault’s famous Barrel Tree, which will be housed right out front of the venue.
There are also a few standalone events to check out at Vinter Wonderland in 2024. Stories with Santa still have some remaining dates (Dec, 14, 19 and 21 at 4:30 and 6 p.m.), Breakfast with Santa on the other hand has two dates (Dec. 15 and 21, multiple seatings), and an adults-only Cookies and Cocktails experience will be held at Renault (Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 at 6 p.m.)
Every Friday night in December is also dubbed Family Fun night at the ice rink ($15 per person, tickets available on Eventbrite), and The Festival of Trees is also back this year. With the Festival, during the Vintner Wonderland season, the Renault family will give back to the community by supporting Faces 4 Autism. Renault team members have decorated holiday trees that will be displayed on the property through Dec. 20.
Lastly (but certainly not least), Renault will also host a Reindeer Run on Saturday, Dec. 21. This rain or shine event will feature a 1-mile kids fun run at 9:45 a.m. and then a 5K run shortly after at 10 a.m.
Philadelphians can also opt to score a Renault Passport (Vinter Edition) to nab some exclusive deals. For $39 plus tax, you will receive parking close to the venue, a way to skip the line, an ice skating pass, a tractor ride, plus a s’mores kit and 10% off the Renault Gift Shoppe. A similar family package is also available for $139 plus tax.
Locals can also turn their visit into a full holiday escape at the Chateau Renault Hotel. As the release also notes, The Magic of Vintner Package offers a private fire pit, private cabana access, a $100 food and beverage credit, a bottle of Renault wine, a s’mores kit and ice skating tickets for $369 a night. There’s also a Winter Escape package for a lower price that offers a $50 credit, a wine flight for two and a bottle of Renault wine.
