In a world of stress, schedules and needing a break—the time to unwind, connect and treat yourself is finally here.
Mind, Body, Bubbly is officially back in 2022, and the wellness fair will be taking place Sunday, May 1. Back for its fourth year, MBB aims to provide a special day of self-care with some of the best of Philadelphia’s best beauty and wellness communities.
Location 215—a state-of-the-art studio that opened in Spring 2019—will once again be the host for the event, and throughout this large, bright, airy, and centrally located studio, Philadelphians will be able to sample a variety of treats, try interactive services and get to know the minds behind some of the city’s most dynamic wellness destinations… and there will be more vendors than ever this go around.
“It’s been a tough two years. We had an amazing event planned for 2020 and decided to do a small version virtually. So coming back to Location 215 is literally two years in the making. I couldn’t be more excited,” says Kate Marlys, owner of Philly PR Girl in a statement. “By doubling the space we are able to feature more vendors which is why I love this event. Supporting local businesses is important to us.”
In years past, vendors involved with MBB have been able to showcase their products to social media influencers, lifestyle bloggers, health, wellness, and beauty enthusiasts, plus residents from in and around the Philadelphia area (and although registration is closed to be a vendor for 2022, there’s always next year.) All come together with the main goal of providing an uplifting and positive experience to participants.
This year, the wellness fair will also be partnering with Dawn’s Place, a nonprofit organization supporting survivors of commercial sexual exploitation or sex trafficking.
“As a women owned and operated business, spreading awareness for human trafficking is very important to us at Philly PR Girl,” Marlys explained in another statement. “Dawn’s Place is actively working to provide a new beginning for survivors of commercial sexual exploitation. We are happy to provide as much support as we can through Mind, Body, and Bubbly”
According to the release, Dawn’s Place was the first residential treatment program for victims and survivors of sex-trafficking in the tri-state region. They proactively support and help raise awareness serving American and foreign national women. They also provide direct services that include education about prevention and community collaboration.
By offering these programs, victims are able to build the freedom and empowerment they need to take strides towards recovery, and this gives a positive outlook on the future and a role in the community for women while in recovery.
To help support Dawn’s Place throughout MBB, participants are asked to bring items to donate from their wish list.
Throughout the event, visitors can also sip on two varieties of Aimery’s bubbly (Cremant De Limoux and Cremant De Limoux Rose) from MBB’s partner Wines ‘Til Sold Out while pursuing vendors. Vendor highlights include City Hydration (B22 shots and an IV hydration station), Made By Taylor Nicole (Philadelphia themed apparel), The Wellness Refinery (a holistic healing sanctuary), Natural Girl (handmade natural body and hair care products), Gem Life + Bar (a wellness bar with adaptogenic cocktails), VivivBelle (a modern women’s one stop shop guide to emotional wellness), and more.
Tickets to MBB are available for purchase online, and limited VIP tickets (which include a special gift bag, early entry into the marketplace, a “Zen session” with Thrive Pilates & Yoga and brunch bites) are available for $45 per person. General admission tickets are $30 per person, and each attendee will receive a special shopping bag, brunch bites, and (of course) bubbly.
The festivities officially begin at 10:30 a.m. at Location 215 (990 Spring Garden St., 1st floor). For information, visit phillyprgirl.com
