Cinco de Mayo is only a week out, and to get ready for the fiesta-sized holiday, the City of Brotherly Love has a few tricks up its sleeve. Here a few spots to indulge in some specials on May 5 in Philadelphia.
Revolution Taco
This holiday wouldn’t be complete without some tacos, and one Center City hotspot has everything you need to fulfill your craving on May 5. Available for take-out, dine-in or delivery, Walnut Street’s Rev Taco will be serving up a chicken tinga taco duo for $5, or a DIY Taco Kit for $55. The kit features two portions of smoked brisket and chicken tinga, tortilla chips, pico de gallo, housemade salsa verde, housemade salsa roja, lime crema, shredded cheese, lettuce, corn tortillas, two strawberry rhubarb cheesecake empanadas and a pineapple guava margarita mixer (for dine-in BYO Tequila.) These specials will be available throughout the day next Wednesday.

Buena Onda
Jose Garces’ taco spot is serving up some spirited selections for the Cinco De Mayo holiday. Philadelphians who head to Buena Onda can indulge in a selection of both food and drink specials ranging from $2 chicken tacos to $25 margarita pitchers and even take-home margarita and taco kits as well. Other specials include $7 chips and guac, $4 select drafts and $6 flavored margaritas.

Juno
With Cinco de Mayo also comes nice weather, and one outdoor oasis in Philly is celebrating with a variety of offerings. FCM Hospitality and Juno are celebrating Juno’s first Cinco de Mayo Celebration with menu specials, giveaways and other edible features, including barbacoa tacos (lamb) with onions and the consume for $14, their Pina de Fuego cocktail (made with tequila, ancho bitters, pineapple and lime juice, and a dash of jalapeno juice $12), their Beer Barrow (featuring 12 Tecate Cans and a 16 oz. bottle of house infused tequila for $60 for groups of 4 or more only), and Espolon swag giveaways from 4 to 7 p.m.

Lolita
Celebrating Cinco de Mayo doesn’t have to mean you have to keep it simple. For Philadelphians looking to fancy up their own fiesta, Lolita will have their own spin on a three-course meal priced out be $33. Menu highlights span from Valeria’s Chopped Salad, guacamole, veggie nachos, pork carnitas nachos, crispy fish tacos, roasted chicken enchiladas rojas, Mexican espresso tiramisu, Tijuana style queso shortrib birria tacos, cholula fried chicken tacos and more.

Añejo Philly
According to a release, Añejo Philly in Northern Liberties is celebrating their first Cinco de Mayo in Philadelphia with special extended hours and the kick-off of their lunch and all-day service. The all-day celebration showcases Executive Chef and Partner Ricardo Camacho’s contemporary take on both traditional and non-traditional Authentic Mexican dishes.
For Cinco de Mayo, head to the Northern Liberties hot spot for a special package to ensure your table. The package is $55 per person that includes a table reservation for 90 minutes, two Classic Blanco (Milagro, Combier, Fresh Lime, Agave) margaritas per person, two tacos per person, one empanada per person, rice and beans per person, and salsa, guacamole and chips for the table – plus additional limited menu for ordering. The outdoor bar will be set-up for take-out margaritas and canned beers. Reservations requested. Walk-ins (if available) can also order from the limited all-day menu.

Mantawny Still Works
Turn Cinco de Mayo into Cinco de Drinko with Mantawny Still Works’ newest creation: the “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic” cocktail. Although made with whiskey, Manatawny’s White Whiskey tastes a bit like tequila and the drink is additionally made with mango, lime and a spicy jawn rim (dried mango, cayenne and smoked paprika).

Sometimes, it makes sense to switch it up, and for Cinco De Mayo, there’s no better way to do just that than at P’unk Burger. On May 5, the East Passyunk hotspot will be serving up their celebrated national collaboration with Cholula. The Cholula Juicy Lucy P’unk Burger boasts a pepper jack stuffed beef burger topped with Cholula Chili Lime avocado chutney and Cholula Green Pepper tomato concasse. This treat will be available for dine-in, take-out or delivery for $12 on May 5.

The Day of the Dead-themed hotspot from Craft Concepts has a few enticing selections that they’re offering for Cinco de Mayo. The hotspot, which spans indoor and outdoor seating, will be serving up $2 beef tacos all day, and drink specials (along with Tradesmans) which include $15 margarita flights and margarita towers plus cocktails with Espolon, Don Julio and Corazon.
